Do You Need to Talk Through Difficult Issues?

I want to help. My therapy process combines traditional talk therapy with a holistic approach to mental health. A holistic practitioner considers the treatment of the whole person, taking into account many factors such as social environment and family history, as well as mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well being.

Where Do We Start?

Individual therapy is a process we create together to bring about change and begin improving quality of your life immediately. I help clients through the obstacles arising from stressful life situations and events. Have things become so painful that you are suffering? My goal is to help you from the outside, trained perspective so you are not alone.  Often there is trapped pain that took place in childhood, adolescence, or adulthood, and/or the distorted thinking patterns that go with it. Together we construct a plan to move out of the pain and into healthier thinking and living. I see clients who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, or who are going through recent significant difficult times in their lives.

What Are the Benefits?

There is such relief in being able to express your innermost feelings to someone freely. When you can really look at life issues from a broader perspective, you feel more equipped and confident to handle them. I will help you navigate through the difficult situations so that you can make healthier decisions and reach the goals you set in place.

When people come to see me, I strive to make their experience warm and welcoming. My clients find their therapeutic journey a positive experience and one that lasts. Simply having someone to talk to other than friends and family in which you feel heard and understood can begin to help decrease feelings of anxiety and depression and contribute to feelings of self-worth and self-acceptance.

“The most important thing is that we need to be understood. We need someone to listen and understand us. Then we will suffer less.”Thich Nhat Hanh, Vietnamese Buddhist Monk, Teacher, Author, Peace Activist

The pain that brings one to seek counseling is often the gift that causes us to grow and gain a deeper understanding of ourselves. This personal growth and new understanding often lead us to find greater joy in our relationships and happiness in life. I can help you navigate through stressful times to create more balance, harmony, and fulfillment in your life.
